OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

WON’T TURN ON

If an electric stove doesn’t start, ensure the appliance is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You need to check the pilot light on gas stoves. If the oven is plugged in or if the pilot light is burning, then another part of the stove will need to be fixed. The reason for the problem could be an surface element, infinite switch, burner igniter or broil and bake element.

OVEN WILL NOT HEAT

A burner or stove or oven that doesn’t produce heat won’t do much good. An oven will not heat when there is a broken oven sensor or bake element. A burner does not fire up when an element is broken or when the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We are able to repair these issues in under 1-2 hours after we arrive.

TIMER ISSUES

You can assume the control panel on a stove or oven is broken if the program or timer functions aren’t working. If that’s the case, we are able to replace control boards for Sears, GE, LG, KitchenAid, Kenmore and many other brands of stoves, ovens and ranges.

OVEN IS VERY HOT

You always want a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the oven heat is too hot, it might be due to a problem with the thermostat or sensor. Our appliance repairmen are able to find the reason for the issue and fix it. But be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of body burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER DOES NOT LIGHT

A reoccurring stove issue is times where an igniter glows but it won’t light. The cause is from a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or temperature sensor. We are able to determine if we can repair these appliance parts or if we will need to replace the part.

DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

Modern self-cleaning ovens are known to experience door problems often. The door won’t open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door latch, thermostat and seal to troubleshoot why the door doesn’t open and then we complete the necessary repair in order to correct the issue.
